Rise Therapy Center
The Rise Therapy Center (RTC) is located right here on our campus and serves families both within and outside our school community. We provide child and family centered, research-based therapy services and inclusive community group opportunities for children with and without disabilities.
At RTC, we believe that families are the experts on their own children and experiences. Family priorities lead the therapy process, and young children are partners in their own therapies to the maximum extent possible, with therapists building on their strengths and focusing most on their preferences and interests.
RTC therapies begin with a comprehensive assessment process that is streamlined and strengths-based, including collaboration across all therapists a family will partner with as opposed to each therapist completing separate assessments, which can become overwhelming for children and families
Assessment results and information is explained to families without therapeutic jargon and in ways that demonstrate that we value their experiences and that highlight opportunities for therapy support based on strengths as opposed to deficits
Once assessments are complete, therapists and families develop family-centered goals for young children that are functional, contextually relevant to the child's and family's needs, and that will improve each family member's quality of life
Therapists regularly collaborate with families, support them in coordinating team members outside of Rise (e.g., teachers), and guide them in accessing resources and/or navigating other systems of care that may be available
The dose of therapy (i.e., length and times per week) is dependent on what the family and therapist agree is best for the child and family.
RTC’s outpatient therapy process is modeled after our highly effective school program therapies that strengthen the capacity of a child's entire ecosystem as opposed to focusing solely on the child. RTC was launched out of our community’s need for a family-centered bridge from early intervention therapies into elementary school. RTC therapists provide individualized therapies for young children, while ensuring that therapies also improve the well-being and quality of life of families.

Early Intervention services are provided in the family’s preferred, natural environment, which could include at home or at a childcare center. Outside of Early Intervention services, we do, however we prefer services be held at the Rise Therapy Center, although understand this isn’t always a possibility. We would be happy to discuss this opportunity, depending on which therapy you’re interested in and the availability of our team members.
